Discord leak servers behave like private forums: invite-only, quickly rebuilt, and full of re-uploads. Unlike Telegram, Discord does run a Trust & Safety process that acts on reports, including for servers you are not a member of — provided you can give it something specific to look at.
The critical detail is the message link. Discord acts on message and server IDs, not on descriptions, so evidence capture matters more here than almost anywhere else.

In-app report
With Developer Mode enabled in settings, right-click a message → Copy Message Link, and right-click the server → Copy Server ID. Both are what the report form asks for.
What you need
- Message links (right-click → Copy Message Link) for each infringing message
- The server ID, and the username plus discriminator of the uploader if visible
- Screenshots showing the content in context with timestamps
- Identification of your work and the standard DMCA statements for a copyright report
Typical response time
Reports commonly get a response within days. Copyright claims and non-consensual content reports are handled by separate queues.
What usually goes wrong
- Without Developer Mode enabled you cannot copy message links or server IDs, and a report without them is much harder to action.
- Files uploaded to Discord live on its CDN and can remain reachable by direct link after a message is deleted — report the messages rather than only asking a server owner to delete them.
- Server owners deleting a channel does not create a record. Filing does, and repeat-offender records are what get servers removed.
- Invite links to leak servers are usually posted publicly on other platforms. Removing those cuts recruitment.

Frequently asked questions
Can I report a server I am not in?
You can submit a report with whatever identifying information you have, but reports containing message links and a server ID are far more actionable. If someone sent you the content, ask them for the message link rather than a screenshot alone.
Do deleted messages remove the file?
Not necessarily. Attachments are served from Discord's CDN and a direct link can remain live after the message is gone. This is why reporting to Discord matters more than getting a moderator to delete a post.
Should I join the server to collect evidence?
Weigh it carefully. It gets you message links, which materially improve a report, but it also exposes you to harassment and to files you may not want to interact with. Ask a trusted third party or your protection service to handle it if that option exists.
